How 8 Hours of Sleep Helps You ? - It is said that at least 7-8 hours of sleep daily helps to reenergize your body and shrug off the previous day's tiredness. It has always been talked that 8 hours of sleep is a must to keep you fit and healthy both physically and mentally. But just imagine what would happen to you if you are not able to complete your 8 hour sleep, and end up sleep for just 5-6 hours or may be less than that? Neither you will be physically able to get out of the bed feeling freshen nor will you be able to concentrate in your work. But when you are unable to get up from your 8 hour sleep because you did not complete your sleep the previous night will make you sleep more than 8 hours which will again take a toll on your health especially your cardiovascular health that will increase your risks of strokes and heart attacks.
The racing of time and increasing competition have made people to take a toll on their health while they are chasing their dreams. These days' people are demanded to stay up late nights at office completing their deadlines while compromising with their sleep. In short lack of sleep will not only make you functionally week but also shorten your life time too. Just like food and water, sleep is also a necessity to give your body and brain an 8 hours of rest so that you get up next day feeling fresh and pay more attention at your work which is needed. There are severe negative effects when you try to compromise your sleep and end up overworking in your computer. Researchers say that lack of proper sleep can reduce your body's metabolism, loss of appetite, irritability, over exertion, depression, migraines, muscle and nerve pains, weight gain and many others. Caffeine is a major reason that can keeps you off your sleep and making your brain active during work.
It is also said that poor sleep will still keep your brain in the state of alertness. You can maintain your sleep schedule by following a simple sleep regime not as a restriction towards your work but as a guide to keep you healthy and fresh. Maintain a proper sleep time and wake up, probably an alarm will help you to wake up in time so that your body gets used to this time and you will get up as per your body clock. Avoiding watching television, operating a pc or laptop or playing video games as these gadgets tend to keep your brain alert and not allow you to fall asleep fast. Hence no television, laptop or videogames at least one hour before going to sleep. Avoid any forms of caffeine intake before going to bed. It keeps you awake for several hours. Caffeine is a strong stimulant that will make your mind stay alert which is advised during the day to keep you attentive and alert during your work but at night before going to bed it makes difficult in falling asleep by increasing the production of adrenaline in the brain.
