Australians, Shocked by the 1.5 meter long lizard - A homeowners in Thurgoona, near Albury in New South Wales (NSW), was surprised to find a giant lizard, over 1.5 meters behind his house. Eric Holland (80), was working in the barn behind his house this week, when he found out the lizards.

"I certainly was surprised, but I thought that was a creature from Mars, landed in the garden of my house," he said.

Holland, because he was surprised, to get back into the warehouse. And when he came out again, the lizard has climbed over the wall of his house.

"He climbed over the wall, and almost to the roof, with a tail move and touch the water pipes," said Holland.

Holland then took a picture of the lizard and the picture was taken to a local newspaper, The Border Mail. Holland, who does not own a computer and then said he was surprised to hear the reaction when the news is positive online.

"My son called and asked, 'what's going on, Dad?. A friend of the woman in his office, I saw a picture on Facebook," he said.

"I think I do not believe, that picture has been circulated everywhere, but I do not feel, it's a decent news in the paper."

Holland said he had lived in the house for 18 years and have never seen such a big lizard.

"I'm so scared right now. Now I'm going to wear boots and long pants when out into the garden," he said.
