The movie features a strong ensemble cast including Priyadarshi Pulikonda, P. Sai Kumar, Sivaji, Rohini, Harsha Vardhan, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Harsh Roshan, and Sridevi Apalla.

Blending courtroom tension with emotional storytelling, Court: State vs A Nobody became both a critical and commercial success, earning more than ₹57 crore worldwide.

The Story of Court: State vs A Nobody (2025)

The film follows Surya Teja, a young junior lawyer working under the respected advocate Mohan Rao. Surya dreams of becoming more than just another assistant in a law office. Unlike his father, who spent his life notarizing documents, Surya wants to build a real legal career by winning important cases on his own.

Meanwhile, the story introduces Chandrashekar, a hardworking 19-year-old boy from a poor family. He takes on multiple odd jobs to support his parents and younger sister. Despite his difficult life, Chandrashekar remains kind-hearted and hopeful about the future.

His life changes after meeting Jabilli, a 17-year-old girl from a wealthy and influential family. Their relationship starts innocently, and the two teenagers slowly fall in love while secretly spending time together.

However, their romance soon leads to serious consequences.

A False Case That Changes Everything

Jabilli’s uncle, Mangapathi, is the dominant figure in the family after the death of Jabilli’s father. Obsessed with protecting the family’s reputation, Mangapathi sees the relationship as a disgrace.

Using his influence and connections, he manipulates the legal system to punish Chandrashekar. With the help of lawyer Damodhar and corrupt police officers, Mangapathi files false charges against the teenager under the POCSO Act, a law intended to protect minors from sexual abuse.

Suddenly, Chandrashekar’s entire life falls apart. Society labels him a criminal before the truth is even heard.

This is where Surya Teja becomes involved. After discovering details about the case, the young lawyer decides to defend Chandrashekar and fight against a system controlled by money, fear, and power.

The courtroom battle that follows becomes the emotional core of the film.

More than just a courtroom drama, Court: State vs A Nobody explores themes of social inequality, misuse of authority, and flaws within the justice system.

The movie highlights how easily legal protections can be twisted by influential people for personal revenge. At the same time, it questions whether ordinary people without status or power can truly receive fair treatment in court.

Several critics praised the film for its grounded storytelling and emotional depth. Many reviews also noted how the film balances suspenseful courtroom moments with human drama.

Priyadarshi Pulikonda delivers one of the strongest performances of his career as Surya Teja. He portrays the character with sincerity, showing both the confidence and vulnerability of a young lawyer struggling between idealism and harsh reality.

Harsh Roshan and Sridevi Apalla also perform convincingly as Chandrashekar and Jabilli, making the emotional conflict feel believable and natural.

For a directorial debut, Ram Jagadeesh handles the material with impressive maturity. The film maintains tension throughout while keeping its emotional moments grounded.

Review

Court: State vs A Nobody succeeds because it focuses not only on courtroom arguments but also on the human cost of injustice. The film combines emotional storytelling with socially relevant themes, creating a legal drama that feels engaging and meaningful.

While some parts of the story follow familiar courtroom-drama formulas, the strong performances and emotional weight help the movie stand out. The film also benefits from its realistic portrayal of class differences and abuse of power.

Overall, Court: State vs A Nobody is a compelling Telugu legal drama with strong acting, an important message, and enough emotional intensity to keep viewers invested from beginning to end.
